Mercedes Benz SL series All-in-one kit

Description

This is a brand new Gear Kit for repairing both Mercedes Headrest Adjuster and Power Seat adjuster mechanics (either side in the car), recommended for below mentioned types and years. If you would like to replace all plastic gears that may get broken in the interior over time, this is the perfect package for you.

This kit contains every part that usually needs replacement. 2 gear kits for the headrests, 4 worm wheels for the seats, 8 gears in total.

Color may be slightly different from photo. (Currently the printed gears are light grey colored as of 2025, the injection molded gears are white)

Installation:

Please check that the threaded shaft can rotate freely to prevent stripping the replacement gear. It is recommended to lubricate with grease that has no graphite content. (General purpose grease will do just fine)

A generally present issue is that while the gears have lots of grease on them, the metal shaft runs dry, and that can ruin everything very quickly.

Important!! The new version headrest gears can be installed by hand only, no need to press them. I recommend not to use a hammer or any excessive force. When installing the headrest gears, one must install the larger gear first, so that the smaller gear (which can rotate freely) may mesh into it properly.

The seat adjuster gears can be slowly pressed into position with the locking nut of the shaft.
