AKG Engineering supplies custom engineering-grade components for clients who need precise parts — Hi-Fi player mechanics, audio amplifier components, gears, hardware — in quantities and geometries that traditional injection molding cannot justify and OEM support is long gone. Every part is designed, qualified, and manufactured in-house by a mechanical engineer with hands-on experience in design, toolmaking, manufacturing and prototype-to-series production.
It all started in a small garage. Dim lights. The smell of machine oil and freshly cut wood panels. Two friends looking at the very first cut of the newly built CNC machine. Soon, there were chips everywhere. Then burning smell, some broken endmills. The challenges were piling up. Moving places, travelling great distances just to see some machines in action. Working different jobs. Then one day "Hey, here is this broken gear from a cassette deck. I have no intention of doing much about it, my focus is elsewhere." Okay, I will take a look. The very first item, the very first struggle to get to the point where the once old, yellow, brittle gear of a once fantastic cassette deck is reborn with the use of modern engineering, modern tools and materials, and comes out of a mold fresh, crisp, pristine white. The first step at the very beginning of a massive journey that followed. This little gear became the flagship part. Requests coming from multiple places. The marketplace slowly accepting the new, unusual source. Then new gears, new parts, slowly accumulating. What started as a few gears over a course of a few weeks slowly evolved into larger and larger scale production, eventually needing automation and machines. A new partnership was formed. And at once, coming from a seemingly random user ID, a brand was born. AKG ENGINEERING.
